Black, red, and white: The Beaches of Santorini
Beaches
Colourful and spectacular, the beaches of Santorini are anything but common. The most famous coasts of the island are undoubtedly the iconic Red Beach and its sister White Beach, both named after the striking colours of their rocks. Beautiful and otherworldly are also the stunning cliffs of Vlychada, whereas the black-sanded shores of the eastern side of the island are the epicentre of the island’s cosmopolitan beach life. The marron rocks of the quaint Ammoudi, beneath Oia, offer a spectacular spot for repose and traditional seafood lunches and sunset dinners. As for the seekers of secluded shores, look for the remote Columbos and the charming Cambia for seaside moments away from it all.
